George Bush Library

The George Bush Presidential Library has launched an exhibit that tells the story of offshore drilling, highlighting technological innovations in the industry and the former president’s work as a Texas oilman. During his career in oil and gas, George H. W. Bush worked both on land and in the Gulf of Mexico, playing a role in the development of the independent leg jack-up rig Scorpion, launched in 1956.“Offshore Drilling: The Promise of Discovery” will be on display at the library, on the Texas A&M University campus, through Feb. 1, 2015.
