Drop Zone is back at the Boardwalk!
We just love working on fun things like when we recently lifted the heavy amusement park ride [Drop Zone] in Kemah, TX. Consolidated Crane & Rigging is proud to be part of installing the thrilling ride back into the Kemah Boardwalk… just in time for Spring break!
Like our previous work at the Pleasure Pier in Galveston, TX, our group of rough & tough, hard working crane professionals know how to have fun too. The public might not be able play with our big crane machines, so we’re happy to be able assist in putting together this tall ride to do its own heavy lifting so everyone else can have the same fun we do.
Brace yourself for the slow climb, the pause way up in the air and then the thrilling plunge!

Cranes for Tight Spaces & Tight Construction Schedules

Operating heavy-lifting crane machinery in confined spaces is a demanding skill that requires precision, patience, and deep technical expertise. Maneuvering massive loads through tight clearances leaves little room for error, as even a slight miscalculation in swing radius, boom extension, or load balance can result in damage to the object being lifted or to the surrounding structures. Our operators constantly account for weight distribution, shifting centers of gravity, ground stability, wind conditions, and communication with rigging crews. Successfully navigating these high-pressure environments demands steady hands, sharp spatial awareness, and seamless teamwork to ensure both safety and structural integrity.
