Are you a boss crane mechanic? We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Crane Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy lifting equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment used across construction sites, manufacturing facilities, and industrial settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art machinery, perform complex diagnostics, and contribute to the seamless operation of heavy equipment fleets.

The Core Responsibilities of Crane Mechanic

  • Conduct thorough inspections of cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on hydraulic systems, transmissions, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical components to ensure optimal performance.
  • Fabricate parts or modify equipment as needed using welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet specific operational requirements.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues through automotive diagnostics techniques and troubleshoot electrical systems for complex machinery.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance tasks such as adjustments, and hydraulic system servicing to minimize downtime.
  • Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection logs to ensure compliance with safety standards and OEM specifications
  • Experience working with OEM parts and understanding factory specifications for Liebherr, Tadano is required.

What We’re Looking for in a Crane Mechanic

  • Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, or farm machinery in dealership or industrial settings.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and brake systems.
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with schematics is essential.
  • Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicle maintenance software.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs or assembly tasks.
  • Excellent customer service skills combined with a proactive approach to equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
