Rigging, Lifting, and Skating Chillers in Spring TX

  • Projects

Our crew executed another great job at Hewlett Packard in Spring, Texas. Proper planning and diligent adherence to safety protocols have been crucial throughout the process to minimize risks and ensure successful handling of the chillers.

Execution required slow and controlled movements required the patience of an experienced professional to ensure loads are lifted and moved steadily to prevent accidents while spotters guided the chillers movement in tight spaces.

Consolidated Crane Rigging Lifting Skating Chillers

It might not be rocket surgery, but it takes a lot of science, math, and mechanics to do these kinds of jobs safely and without damaging the equipment or materials being moved. Going beyond thorough planning, our experienced and reliable crew members are true pros when it comes to these delicate lifts of massive and heavy loads.

First, we determine the weight, dimensions, and center of gravity of the load. Then, we inspect and evaulate the site for access points, space constraints, and ground conditions.

We use appropriate slings (e.g., chain, wire rope, synthetic) based on the load type. Then, we ensure hooks and connectors have the necessary load ratings and are compatible with other rigging components. Shackles and turnbuckles provide secure connections that allow for adjustments.

Lifting Equipment

The right type or kind of crane is selected based on load size and lifting height. Sometimes hoists are needed for smaller or more precise lifting tasks while forklifts are useful for moving heavy loads short distances.

Skating Equipment

Skates, also known as “rollers”, facilitate gliding heavy loads across floors. They should be rated for the size and weight of the load. Occasionally low-profile dollies are also used to maneuver heavy items through tight spaces.

Safety Always

Our pros always stay within the rated capacities of all equipment and ensure the load is stable and balanced before lifting. All of CC&R’s crew members are trained in safety protocols.

Communication

Radios and hand signals establish multiple options for clear communication among team members to coordinate movements.
